WSET Level 2 Award in Wines at Annata



    An important part of Annata Restaurant's vision is to have wine education play a centre part of its vision. Therefore, owner John Bligh partnered with the Wine Tip to bring WSET L2 in wines to you.

    This course is globally recognised as the reference in wine education, teaching in just 16 hours the fundamentals of wine through systematic tasting, core theory of grapes, labelling terms and producing region.
    The outcome of this tuition is to have students able to objectively describe a wine and decipher labels with confidence, leading not only to a greater understanding of the product but most importantly to a new and enhanced enjoyment of the product.


    17 hours of tuition, including a one hour examination, spread over three consecutive Tuesdays.

    Who is it designed for?

    Beginners with a basic understanding of wine types and winemaking wishing to gain a more  solid knowledge about grapes, basic region and styles of wines, for professional or self development purpose alike.
    No prior knowledge is required, although absolute beginners should start with Level 1.

    Following NSW health order, only fully vaccinated students will be allowed in the classroom.

    Booking conditions

    Students have to be 18 years of age minimum to take part in the non-mendatory wine tasting part of the course.

    Bookings are treated on a first come-first-serve basis.

    Please allow at least five business days to receive your study material

    Booking cannot be made less than 12 business days before the scheduled exam, and 15 business days for remote invigilation

    Your place in the chosen course will only be confirmed upon reception of full payment and enrolment form by us and the reception of a confirmation email from us.

    Bookings can be cancelled or transferred to certain conditions

    Cancellations must be notified in writing.

    If cancelled more than and excluding ten days before the start of the course, a full refund will be processed, (minus a $100 fee for L2 and L3 study packs if relevant)

    Course cancelled including or less than ten days before the start of the course will not be refunded.

    The Wine Tip reserves the right to cancel a course in case of insufficient enrolment numbers.

    Were The Wine Tip to cancel a course, students could choose between a free transfer to another date or a full refund.

    Resits fees are as follow $79 for Level 1, $139 for Level 2 and for Level 3: $85 for tasting only, $150 for theory only, and $210 for both.
